Our Puppy Classes are all about teaching socialization to the puppy and responsible dog ownership to the human. Preparing your puppy to meet new situations happily and without fear will give you and your dog a lifetime of fun outings and adventures.
The Puppy Class is for puppies 8 weeks to 4 months old who are healthy and up to date on their puppy vaccinations. Puppies will interact with other puppies and people. During class time puppies learn very basic obedience skills and humans learn to modify common puppy behavior problems, like mouthing, barking and chewing.
Recess time allows puppies to play with each other in a controlled environment where they can learn acceptable puppy play behaviors.
When puppies complete the 6 weeks of training and have passed the basic Puppy Test they are awarded the AKC S.T.A.R. certificate and are ready for the Pawsitive and Fun Obedience Class where they will prepare to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test for those wanting to put a Title on their dog.
